When does Novak Djokovic play next at Wimbledon 2021? Next match details revealed

Novak Djokovic

Defending champion Novak Djokovic makes winning big matches look like a walk in the park. So far at Wimbledon 2021, apart from a little wobble in the first set of the first match, he looks like he could have won his clashes with one hand tied behind his back.

The fourth round doesn’t look too problematic for the top seed either as he faces Chilean star Cristian Garin, who is much more of a fan of the clay courts than grass. Before this year’s Championships, he had never won a match at Wimbledon (meanwhile Djokovic has won the entire tournament five times) and has never faced any of the Big Three at a grand slam.

Garin is the No.17 seed, and seems excited about the prospect of playing Djokovic, saying “I really enjoy facing these kinds of challenges”. That’s lucky, because it certainly will be a challenge, one that he is very unlikely to overcome with the Serbian ace on blistering form.

Check out the full details of Novak Djokovic’s next match at Wimbledon 2021.

When does Novak Djokovic play next at Wimbledon?

Djokovic will face No.17 seed Cristian Garin in the fourth round as his title defence continues.

The match will take place today, Monday 5th July on Centre Court and is expected to start at 1:30pm.

After breezing past American Denis Kudla in the last match, this looks like another straight-forward win for Djokovic. On paper at least, although the pair have never played at a grand slam before.

Djokovic has landed on the opposite side of the Wimbledon draw to rival Roger Federer, and the pair are still on course for another epic clash in this year’s final. The Serbian world No.1 is hopeful he can draw level with Federer and Rafael Nadal this summer, with Fedal on 20 grand slam wins, and Djokovic just behind on 19.
