Best Amazon Prime Day TV deals: top offers on 4K models by Samsung, LG, Philips and more

Breakout prime day deals - TV

Anyone shopping for a new TV will be well aware that they are not always cheap – especially if you want the top-end specs – but luckily, there are currently some great discounts to be found online amid Amazon Prime Day 2021.

There are only a few hours left of the 48-hour sale event, with price drops on countless tech products, including the Apple iPhone 12, Echo Dot (4th gen), Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K and Nintendo Switch. And more good news: a slew of TVs are included in the price cuts, too. So if you’re currently thinking about upgrading your television (and you’re a Prime member, of course), then this might be your moment.

We are compiling the very best Amazon Prime deals and keeping a close eye on rival retailers Currys and Very, who have each launched their own counter-sales.

If you want to snap up a Prime Day deal, don’t forget that you’ll have to sign up for Amazon Prime, which comes with a 30-day free trial. And if, like most people, you don’t know where to start when it comes to choosing the right TV for you, check out our which TV to buy article. Our comprehensive, in-depth buyer’s guide breaks down everything you need to know about purchasing a new television, from budget to screen size.

Read on for our pick of the best TV deals we’ve found so far in the Amazon Prime Day sale, with options across various screen sizes and budgets. But don’t forget: Prime Day comes to an end at midnight today (Tuesday 22nd June), so these exclusive deals won’t be around for long. Best Prime Day TV deals so far

Sony BRAVIA KD55XH81 (43-inch)  | £679 £599 (save £80 or 12%)

Sony BRAVIA KD49XH81

What’s the deal: From Sony’s famous BRAVIA range. We’re calling out the discount on the 55-inch model, as that boasts the biggest saving – but you’ll also save 5% on the 43-inch set (was £555, now £529) and 8% on the 43-inch set (was £578, now £428.99).

Why we chose it: This Sony TV is packed to the rafters with useful features, including 4K Ultra HD for the most vibrant colours and darkest darks. As well as the option to control your TV with your voice via Google Assistant or Alexa. Whilst the usual streaming services – Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ – are all available to download as apps, Sony boasts over 5000 apps to choose from to enhance your viewing experience.

If you’re TV-hunting right now but spending on a budget, this Prime Day deal is a real gem, especially as the hands-free services of Google Assistant and Alexa are also included here.

HISENSE 65A6GTUK (65-inch) | £799 £599 (save £200 or £25)

HISENSE 65A6GTUK

What’s the deal: An impressive £200 discount on HISENSE’s newest 4K UHD TV. Other sizes are on offer, but this one is the only one with a genuinely incredible saving.

Why we chose it: Because we know most shoppers would love to upscale their television, but also want to keep their spending in the comfortable triple digits. If that’s the case for you, then give this deal close consideration. The exceptional picture quality comes from the 4K UHD technology, while the superb contrast is courtesy of Dolby Vision. This TV really has been designed with viewership involved.

Just in time for the Euros, this TV also has a Sports Mode that automatically switches to an immersive live stadium experience (remember those?) when a sport signal is detected.

Panasonic 43-inch TX-HX700B 4K HDR TV with built-in Google Assistant | £449 £349 (save £100 or 22%)

Panasonic TX-43HX700B

What’s the deal: The 43-inch set from Panasonic’s TX-HX700B range of 4K televisions.

Why we chose it: We think this TV deal is a great all-rounder. The 43-inch size might seem small in comparison to some of the huge sets that increasingly crowd the market these days, but it’s still one that will be absolutely fine for lots of people’s living rooms (take at our what size TV should I buy article if you need to). It delivers 4K picture quality and uses Android TV as its smart platform, meaning apps and games can be downloaded from the Google Play store. There’s also a built-in Chromecast, which will let you stream from another device directly to the TV.

LG 43-inch UN71006LB 4K Smart LED TV | £479.99 £398 (save £81.99 or 17%)

LG 43UN71006LB

What’s the deal: Another great offer on a 43-inch television in the form of a 17% discount on LG’s UN71006LB 4K TV.

Why we chose it: LG is one of the top three brands on the market (along with Sony and Samsung). In particular, the WebOS platform that LG’s smart TVs use enjoys a highly respected reputation for its easy-to-use UI, which is powered by the Quad Core 4k Processor. Factor in the AI-driven surround sound, and you’ve got a TV that offers some serious class for its sub-£400 price tag.

Philips Ambilight 58-inch PUS8545 4K TV | £749 £549 (save £200 or 27%)

Philips Ambilight 65PUS8545

What’s the deal: A hefty £200 price drop on the 58-inch model in the Philips PUS8545 range.

Why we chose it: This is another television that offers optimised 4K, this time in the form of Ambilight tech, which tweaks the way light is dispersed across the screen to offer superior visuals. It’s also another TV with an Android TV platform and also offers Alexa voice control too, so you can operate the set without even hitting a button. There are discounts across the wider range, but the 27% saving here is the most substantial. Make sure you snap up this deal while it’s still available.
