Over the last 15 years, The One Show has become a staple of weekday TV, reliably arriving on BBC One at 7pm each night to give us topical stories and fun interviews whilst the dinner’s in the oven – but you won’t find the show in its usual spot tonight.
This isn’t the first time that The One Show has been moved about. Back in March, the series was pushed back in the schedule for a Panorama episode about the government’s response to COVID-19 a year after the first coronavirus briefing, before being pulled from the schedule and replaced by a live BBC News broadcast from a Newcastle vaccination centre.
In May, the show was removed from BBC One’s schedule to make way for another new Panorama special: Princess Diana, Martin Bashir and The BBC.
It’s happening again tonight, so read on to find out why the popular magazine show will be absent from BBC One this evening.
Why isn’t The One Show on TV tonight?
The One Show won’t be airing on BBC One tonight as the channel is instead set to broadcast Wimbledon 2021 coverage from 6:30pm.
When can I next watch it?
Don’t worry – The One Show will still air tonight at 7pm but on BBC Two instead.
Alex Jones will be presenting the show with Ronan Keating, bringing you the stories that matter from across the country.
The hosts will be joined by Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh to talk Marvel’s latest blockbuster.
The One Show is back on BBC One on Wednesday night at 7pm. To find out what’s on TV tonight, check out our TV Guide.
