It’s the last day of the bank holiday and The Masked Dancer‘s first series is well underway, with two celebrities now unmasked and 10 left in the competition.
Saturday’s show saw Zip, Knickerbocker Glory, Beetroot, Llama and Scarecrow head through to the next round after impressing the panellists with their dance moves, but it was ultimately Viper who was the first to go, with Diversity’s Jordan Banjo revealed as the mystery performer.
After last night’s episode, Flamingo became the next celebrity to be eliminated from The Masked Dancer, after failing to beat Rubber Chicken in their dance-off and landing in the bottom – but who was she?
Here’s everything we know about Flamingo, including her celebrity identity.
Who is Flamingo? Dances, songs, clues, guesses
Flamingo became the second Masked Dancer contestant to be unmasked, after landing in the bottom with Squirrel and Frog. After she removed her mask, it was revealed…. the person underneath the pink feathery costume was Eternal star Louise Redknapp.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant made her Masked Dancer debut with a routine to Moulin Rouge hit Lady Marmalade, but it was Rubber Chicken who won the audience’s vote and made it through to the next round.
Out of all of The Masked Dancer judges, it was Jonathan Ross who guessed Flamingo’s identity correctly from the clues, which hinted that she loved fashion, performed a Vegas set, had been a showbiz reporter and that high-flying ran in her extended family.
When does The Masked Dancer start?
ITV is clearly banking on The Masked Dancer attracting as many, if not more, eyeballs as The Masked Singer did as the show will be airing in a prime time slot on their schedules. The show started on Saturday May 29th at 7pm.
This was meant to be when Britain’s Got Talent was due to air but having a talent show is difficult when the talent is unable to audition – thank you, global pandemic – and this is the show that has been lined up to replace it.
The Masked Dancer begins on Saturday 29th May at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub. For something else to watch, check out our TV Guide or visit our dedicated Entertainment hub.
