The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode release schedule – what time to expect new episodes

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

It might seem like it’s just getting started, but we’re already halfway through The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with the third episode having just been released on Disney Plus.

The series has adopted the same weekly release pattern as WandaVision, and so far that method seems to be working a treat – with each episode generating huge amounts of chat and speculation after its broadcast.

The most recent episode is no different, and although fans are still a little divided about the show, there was unanimous enthusiasm for the surprise ending, which we discuss in our The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode three review.

If you need a refresher on when each episode is set to drop – we have you covered below.

First of all though, you’ll need a Disney Plus subscription to watch The Falcon and the Winter Soldier; sign up for £7.99 per month or £79.90 for a full year. Once you’re signed up, you’ll also be able to watch the Marvel movies in order as a fun bonus.

For now, read on for everything you need to know about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier release schedule.

What time does The Falcon and the Winter Soldier come out?

The third episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier arrived on Disney Plus on Friday 2nd April at 8AM (GMT), an hour later than the first two episodes owing to the change to British Summer Time on the 28th March.

The episodes drop more or less simultaneously worldwide, with new episodes expected to be made available in the USA at 12:00AM PT and 3:00AM ET, while fans in Australia should get to watch them at 6:00PM on Fridays.

How many episodes are in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier consists of six episodes, making it shorter than WandaVision by three chapters, but each one is expected to be closer to an hour-long so the total runtime for the two shows will be roughly the same.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige explained why he landed on this duration while speaking at the Television Critics Association, saying, “Six hours is what we landed on as the best way to tell our story.

“Six hours, whether it’s six episodes or nine shorter episodes like WandaVisionThe shows aren’t inexpensive, so the per-episode cost is very high and to get that bar I was talking about.”
