Coronavirus live news: France reports record new cases as WHO warns Europe case surge 'of great concern'

France reports more than 30,000 cases in 24 hours, taking total over 800,000; WHO warning comes as Europe records highest ever weekly cases.

TRUMP: "Well, I test quite a bit."

GUTHRIE: Did you test the day of the debate?

TRUMP: "I don't know. I don't even remember."

Trump is being grilled pretty hard on coronavirus by Savannah Guthrie, the moderator of his Town Hall.

He has just been asked if he supports herd immunity.

Trump wrongly says "we were expected to lose 2.2 million people and maybe more than that." That figure was an estimate for deaths *if no US government did anything and no US person changed their behavior.*
