Thor star Chris Hemsworth is set to play WWE legend Hulk Hogan in a new biopic for Netflix.
The yet-untitled-film will see Hemsworth play the wrestler – real name Terry Bollea – in his early years and will ignore his later controversies outside the ring, according to THR.

The movie will team up Hangover director Todd Phillips – who is currently making The Joker with Joaquin Phoenix – and producers Bradley Cooper and WWE manager Eric Bischoff.
Emerging in the 1980s, Hogan became one of the planet’s biggest names in wrestling, facing opponents such as Andre the Giant as part of the World Wrestling Federation.
Hogan found fame through a variety of screen roles, hosting Saturday Night Live and playing Thunderlips in Rocky III and himself in The A-Team and Baywatch.
Now 65, Hogan’s fortunes changed in 2015 century when an audio tape was made public in which he used a racist slur. He was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame but reinstated in July 2018.
It’s not clear when the biopic might be available to stream, but we’ll be seeing Hemsworth soon as Thor in Avengers: Endgame.
