Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Hugo Lloris will retain the Tottenham captaincy despite the goalkeeper’s drink-driving conviction and the lurid details that emerged at his court hearing on Wednesday.
Westminster magistrates heard that Lloris had been more than twice the legal limit when stopped at the wheel of his Porsche in the early hours of 24 August. He had been out with his France teammates Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud at a restaurant in Mayfair.
